Here’s a simple recipe for Hara Bhara Kebabs:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
- 1 cup boiled and mashed green peas
- 1 cup finely chopped spinach
- 2-3 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon garam masala

- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon cornflour or chickpea flour (besan)
- Bread crumbs for coating
- Oil for shallow frying
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, green peas, chopped spinach, green chillies, grated ginger, minced garlic, garam masala, cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt. Mix well until everything is combined evenly.
- Add cornflour or chickpea flour to the mixture to bind it together. Mix well.
- Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into small, flat round kebabs.
- Roll each kebab in bread crumbs, ensuring they are coated evenly.
- Heat oil in a shallow frying pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, place the kebabs in the pan and shallow fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Once done, remove the kebabs from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve the Hara Bhara Kebabs hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
