Paneer 65 is a popular Indian appetizer or snack. Here’s a recipe for Paneer 65:
Ingredients:
- 200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cut into cubes or strips
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 tablespoon rice flour
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Curry leaves for garnish (optional)
- Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish
For the batter:
- 3 tablespoons yogurt (curd)
- 1 tablespoon water (adjust as needed to make a thick batter)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornflour, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth paste.
- Add the paneer cubes to the paste and gently toss until they are evenly coated. Let the paneer marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
- In another bowl, prepare the batter by mixing yogurt and water until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the paneer pieces.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or kadhai over medium-high heat.
- Dip each marinated paneer piece into the batter, ensuring it’s well coated, and carefully drop it into the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Fry the paneer pieces until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
- Garnish with curry leaves (if using) and finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve Paneer 65 hot with ketchup or any dipping sauce of your choice.
Enjoy your crispy and flavorful Paneer 65!
