Here’s a simple recipe for crispy cheese fingers:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favourite melting cheese)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray or olive oil for greasing

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminium foil.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. This will be your breading mixture.
  3. Take the shredded cheese and shape it into finger-sized sticks, about 2-3 inches long.
  4. Dip each cheese stick into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  5. Roll the cheese stick in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.
  6. Place the coated cheese sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each stick.
  7. Lightly spray or brush the cheese sticks with cooking spray or olive oil. This will help them brown and crisp up in the oven.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the coating is golden and crispy.
  9. Allow the cheese sticks to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  10. Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or your favourite dipping sauce.

Enjoy your crispy cheese fingers as a delicious snack or appetizer!
