American Corn Salt and Pepper

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of corn kernels (fresh, canned, or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the corn kernels to the skillet and spread them out into an even layer.
  3. Let the corn cook undisturbed for a few minutes until it starts to brown slightly on the bottom.
  4. Stir the corn occasionally to ensure even cooking. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the corn is heated through and lightly browned.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  6. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the cooked corn and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Continue to cook the corn for another 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
  8. Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the corn to a serving dish.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy your American-style corn salt and pepper!
