Ingredients:
- 2 cups of corn kernels (fresh, canned, or frozen)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the corn kernels to the skillet and spread them out into an even layer.
- Let the corn cook undisturbed for a few minutes until it starts to brown slightly on the bottom.
- Stir the corn occasionally to ensure even cooking. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the corn is heated through and lightly browned.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the cooked corn and toss to coat evenly.
- Continue to cook the corn for another 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the corn to a serving dish.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy your American-style corn salt and pepper!
